He pointed to the salient activities of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) and also Barakat Foundation, affiliated to EIKO, and said, “EIKO and Barakat Foundation are the blessings of the Revolution and Islamic Establishment.”

Nouri added, “Barakat Foundation, affiliated to the EIKO, is a revolutionary institution which is the brainchild of the Islamic Establishment and has thus far carried out significant activities in the field of eradication of deprivation, elimination of poverty, generation of employment, socioeconomic empowerment and also developmental-infrastructural works in the deprived and underprivileged areas of the country.”

He reiterated, “benefited from the most creative, skilled, young and competent manpower, Barakat Foundation has played an important role in the eradication of poverty in the deprived and underprivileged areas of the country”

Moreover, this Foundation has revitalized and reactivated those industrial and production units which have faced economic problems, he said, adding, “by helping entrepreneurs and investing in industrial and production units that have fallen into economic recession, Barakat Foundation has revitalized these units in line with supporting Iranian-made products.”

Barakat Foundation should play important role in materializing objectives of ‘resistance economy’, he said, adding, “in the current situation that the country is in sanctions, we hope that the Foundation will take giant strides like in the past in line with guidelines of the Leader of Islamic Revolution.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, Nouri pointed to the development and infrastructural activities of Barakat Foundation done in Shush and said, “Barakat Foundation has so far constructed six schools in Shush while construction operation of two new schools and also three mosques are underway in this city.”

The issue of “unemployment” is the major concern of all families in the province, he said, adding, “some families in Shush and its surrounding villages are facing unemployment problem in a way that unemployment rate is relatively high in this city.”

Barakat Foundation has taken giant strides in the field of eradication of deprivation, elimination of poverty, generation of employment in the country, he said, adding, “we hope that salient activities of Barakat Foundation will be shined in underprivileged Shush region.”

Regarding high capabilities and capacities of Shush and surrounding villages in the field of creation of employment, Nouri said, “Shush city in Khuzestan Province is rich in terms of agriculture in a way that this city is ranked first in producing corn (maize) in the country.”

Moreover, Shush city enjoys high capacity in the fields of stockbreeding, animal husbandry and carpet weaving which can create significant employment opportunities, he emphasized.

In the end, representative of people of Shush in the Parliament Nouri expressed his hope that Shush city will witness economic prosperity and social-economic empowerment of the city with the salient activity of Barakat Foundation in the field of creation of employment especially household jobs.
