The total investment allocated for the restoration of these 600 aqueducts is 2,200 billion rials, with the share of Barakat Foundation, the ministry of agriculture jihad, and public participation projected to be 500, 1,500, and 200 billion rials, respectively.
According to the Managing Director of Barakat Foundation, the process of rebuilding and repairing these 600 aqueducts will be completed by the end of the current Iranian calendar year in 1401.
Pointing to the Barakat Foundation's previous actions in the field of aqueduct rehabilitation in the country, Torkamaneh highlighted that the Foundation has previously tried to repair 47 aqueducts in Khorasan Razavi, South Khorasan, and Isfahan provinces in the form of 14 projects.
He continued that Barakat Foundation has spent 32 billion rials to repair these 47 aqueducts.
In conclusion, he underscored that due to the water shortage crisis in the country, especially in the central and desert areas, the Foundation has focused on the restoration and repairing of aqueducts in these areas.
