30,000 new Barakat jobs for Khuzestani citizens

Morteza Niazi, the deputy head of Barakat Foundation for social-based employment development announcing the news said, “For this year, launching 10,000 social-based job-creation plans in deprived city parts and villages of Khuzestan province, which will create 30,000 new job opportunities, directly and indirectly in those regions is in the foundation’s agenda.

Niazi said that the Barakat Foundation is active in entire townships of Khuzestan province, emphasizing, “Now 29 townships and 255 villages of Khuzestan province are under the job creation activities of the Barakat Foundation.”

According to the deputy head of Barakat Foundation for social-based employment development, 59 of the staffs and facilitators of that foundation are busy serving in deprived city districts and villages of the Khuzestan province.

Further focusing on job creation activities of the Barakat Foundation, till the end of the current (Iranian) year (ending on March 21, 2023), he said, “By the end of the year 1400, over 19,000 employment plans, capable of creating 58,000 new jobs directly and indirectly, will be completed in deprived city districts and villages of the province.”

Niazi reiterated that those jobs are created keeping in mind the potentials, capacities, and talents of each region, in agricultural, services, and industrial fields. Also, the projects in knowledge-based, breading fisheries, clothes, and freelancing (remote employment in virtual space), are among the priorities for boosting employment this year.

The deputy head of Barakat Foundation for social-based employment development, focusing on creating jobs for the special social classes in Khuzestan, too, said, “So far 1,360 employment plans for the women guardians of families in the province have been implemented. Also, 307 plans for the physically disabled and the weak individuals are already put to use.

He added that also, 800 employment plans, in the framework of the “We will return to our village” campaign, were launched in Khuzestan province, which has fortunately reversed the immigration trend and brought back life to the villages.

“The cities of Izeh, Mahshahr Port, Shushtar, Ahvaz and Dezful have had the largest share of the employment plans of Barakat Foundation in Khuzestan province,” he said.

The deputy head of Barakat Foundation for social-based employment development focusing on job creation activities for the Khuzestani men and women, said, “35% of the foundation’s job creators in Khuzestan are women, and they are mostly guardians of families, or heads of the families with bad guardians.”

Niazi emphasized on the need for the people’s participation in the process of boosting employment in the deprived parts of Khuzestan province, saying, “The effective acts of Barakat Foundation and creating mutual trust with the aboriginal societies, has led to collecting 350 billion rials of the people and provincial philanthropists’ contributions.”

He added that 254 employment plans in Khuzestan province have been launched relying on those contributions of the people.

The deputy head of Barakat Foundation for social-based employment development said that the predicted needed budget for launching 10,000 employment plans this year is around 18,000 billion rials.
