Barakat Foundation has been established in response to the Leader’s order to head of Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order (EIKO) stating: “I’m concerned about solving problems of the deprived classes of the society. For instance, solve problems of 1000 villages completely. How good would be if 1000 points of the country are solved or 1000 schools are built in the country, prepare this organization for this purpose.”  In this regard, Barakat Foundation was formed by EIKO on Dec. 11, 2007 in order to act as an organization to uproot deprivation, to realize economic and social empowerment and to carry out public affairs. Relying on the Holy Quran, this foundation was named “Barakat”.
