Deputy EOIKO head for social-based employment development projects said that those 4,000 social-based job creation plans led to creating 12,000 new jobs, either directly, or indirectly for the Yazd province unemployed citizens in deprived city districts and villages of that province.
Morteza Niazi said that those jobs are mainly created based on the relative privileges of the province, including packing and processing agricultural products, handicrafts and tourism.
The deputy EOIKO head for social-based employment development projects noted that the volume of invested capital for implementing those 4,000 plans in Yazd province was 4,400 billion rials.
Focusing on Barakat Foundation’s employment plans in the Iranian year 1401 that ends on March 21, 2023, in Yazd province, he said, “For the current year, too, we will implement 3,000 job creation plans, capable of creating 9,000 new direct and indirect jobs.
Niazi further reiterated that up to the year 1400, some 70% of the townships of Yazd province were under the social-based job creation activities of the Barakat Foundation, but this year it was decided that the entire townships in that province will be benefitted from that privilege.
The deputy EOIKO head for social-based employment development projects said that the Barakat Foundation has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Yazd Governorate Office on implementation of those employment plans, adding, “According to the MOU, from Article 16 assets’ of the governorate, 2,000 of those job creation plans will be implemented in Yazd province, whose implementation credit is 4,000 billion rials.”
He also referred to implementing employment plans in knowledge-based and special plans fields, reiterating, “1,000 billion rials credit has been allocated to those fields, that will be implemented in collaborate with Yazd Governorate Office.
Niazi said the foundation’s 27-facilitaror member in that province is inclusive of two executive officers and 25 facilitators, emphasizing, “Those executive officers and facilitators with their presence in deprived districts of the cities and villages of the province identify the unemployed and poor families in the deprived city districts and villages and eventually introduces them to the banks involved in those projects to receive facilities.”
He emphasized the great importance of lowering the unemployment rate under the prevailing conditions of the country, arguing, “The Barakat Foundation has by providing employment opportunities and creating the appropriate conditions for establishment of new businesses and small technological units, intends to uproot poverty, and increase the social and economic capabilities of the provincial residents, and fair distribution of the capacities and opportunities for everyone.”
The deputy EOIKO head for social-based employment development projects said that the Barakat Foundation has thus far implemented 200,000 job creation plans, capable of creating 600.000 new job opportunities in deprived districts of the cities and villages of the country.
